Lily pond

Hello everyone! 

The base for my example is a old canvas painted with oil paints by my husband. It was a exercise and today is it the basis for my artwork.

I like to show you a step by step tutorial and I hope your enjoy your visit.

Step by Step

Prepared the old canvas with Acrylic Ground for Pastels with a sponge and created a texture.

Sketched with white Art Crayon Lilies  for more depth.

Colored Lilies with Panpastel Permanent Red Tint, Magenta, Diarylide Yellow, Orange and White.

Added with a big sponge Panpastel Chromium Oxide Green in the background. Applied a layer Gesso onto colorization and mix with a brush.

I created a different touch with Gesso. 

Further painted after drying.

Some details are painted with Sofft Tool. I've drawn the blades of grass with the edges of the paint tool.

Mixed Gesso and water with a brush. 

Finished the canvas with some paint splatter.
